1. Definitions

Throughout these Terms & Conditions, the following words carry these meanings:

"Tenang", "we", "us", "our" —

Tenang, operating from Level 5, Wisma Mont Kiara, 1 Jalan Kiara, Mont Kiara, 50480 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

"Participant", "you", "your" —

Any individual who accesses this website, enquires about a programme, or enrols in and attends a Tenang programme.

"Programme" —

Any educational workshop, programme, or course offered by Tenang, including the Money Habits Reflection Workshop, the Steady Habits Money Programme, and the Mindful Money Foundations Course.

"Materials" —

All workbooks, habit grids, journals, prompts, handouts, and digital or printed content produced by Tenang and made available to participants.

"Website" —

The website accessible at tenangs.live and any associated pages or subdomains operated by Tenang.

"Agreement" —

These Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which together govern your relationship with Tenang.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or registering for a Tenang programme, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian if you are under 18 in your jurisdiction.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in full.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use this website or enrol in any programme. Continued use of the website or completion of an enrolment constitutes acceptance.

3. Service Description

Tenang provides general money habits education for members of the public in Malaysia. Our programmes are structured learning experiences focused on self-reflection, habit awareness, and the development of steady money routines. They are offered in Kuala Lumpur and, from time to time, at other locations or in other formats as announced.

Tenang reserves the right to modify programme content, dates, venues, facilitators, and formats at any time. Where changes are material, we will notify enrolled participants in advance with reasonable notice. Tenang does not provide financial planning, investment advice, legal advice, or any regulated service under Malaysian law.

Programmes are primarily open to residents of Malaysia. Enquiries from outside Malaysia are welcome, but availability and access to in-person sessions are subject to geography.

4. User Responsibilities

As a participant or website user, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when registering or submitting enquiry forms.
• Treat fellow participants and facilitators with courtesy and respect during all sessions.
• Keep confidential what other participants share during sessions — this is a mutual responsibility across the group.
• Not record, photograph, or otherwise capture session content or other participants without express written permission from Tenang.
• Not reproduce, distribute, or share Tenang materials with third parties outside the scope of personal use.
• Not use the website or any Tenang service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could cause harm to others.

Tenang reserves the right to remove a participant from a programme or session if their conduct is disruptive, harmful, or in breach of these responsibilities, without refund.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website and within Tenang programmes — including but not limited to programme frameworks, workbooks, habit grids, journals, written prompts, facilitator guides, and visual materials — is the intellectual property of Tenang and is protected under Malaysian copyright law and applicable international conventions.

Upon enrolment, participants are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use programme materials for their own personal reflection and development. This licence does not permit reproduction, distribution, resale, sublicensing, or use in any commercial context.

Where participants create their own written reflections, journal entries, or habit records within the course of a programme, ownership of that personal content remains with the participant. Tenang does not claim any rights over participants' personal reflective writing.

6. Payment & Fees

All programme fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of all materials stated in the programme description. Payment is required to confirm enrolment. Tenang accepts bank transfer and other payment methods as communicated during the enrolment process.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• 14 or more days before the start date: Full refund, less an administrative fee of RM 50.
• 7–13 days before the start date: 50% refund of the programme fee.
• Less than 7 days before the start date: No refund. A credit note for future programmes may be offered at Tenang's discretion.
• If Tenang cancels a programme: A full refund will be issued, or the enrolment transferred to the next available intake at your choice.

Refunds are processed within 14 business days of an approved request. Requests should be sent to [email protected].

7. Programme Enrolment Terms

Enrolment in a Tenang programme is confirmed upon receipt of payment and a confirmation communication from us. The following terms apply to all programmes:

• Attendance: Participants are responsible for attending sessions they have enrolled in. There is no obligation to attend, but sessions that are missed cannot generally be made up unless Tenang provides a specific arrangement.
• Certificates: No certificate of completion or formal qualification is issued by Tenang. Programmes are general education, not accredited academic study.
• Transfers: Enrolments may be transferred to another person with at least 7 days' written notice to Tenang, subject to availability.
• Minimum numbers: Some programmes may require a minimum number of participants to run. If a cohort does not reach its minimum, Tenang may defer the start date or offer enrolment in the next intake.
• Academic integrity: Participants are expected to engage honestly with their own reflections. The benefit of these programmes is personal; misrepresenting your experience within the group does not benefit you.

8. Disclaimers

Tenang's programmes and website content are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. By participating in any programme or using this website, you acknowledge the following:

• Nothing in any Tenang programme or on this website constitutes financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any form of regulated professional service.
• Tenang makes no representations about specific financial outcomes, results, or changes to your financial situation arising from participating in a programme.
• Programmes are offered as general education. Individual circumstances vary, and participants should seek professional advice appropriate to their personal situation from qualified practitioners.
• Website content is provided "as is" and may not always be up to date. Tenang does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any content for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Tenang's total liability to you for any claim arising from or in connection with a programme or this website shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific programme in question.

Tenang shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of financial opportunity, or emotional distress, arising from participation in a programme or use of this website.

Tenang shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or changes caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, public health emergencies, utility failures, or government directives.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tenang and its facilitators, staff, and representatives from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms & Conditions, your conduct during a programme, or your use of this website in a manner that is unlawful or harmful to others.

11. Termination

Either party may bring a programme enrolment to an end, subject to the refund policy set out in Section 6. Tenang may also terminate your participation in a programme immediately, without refund, if you:

• Breach the conduct expectations in Section 4 in a serious or repeated manner.
• Engage in behaviour that disrupts the learning environment or causes distress to other participants.
• Reproduce or commercially exploit Tenang materials without permission.

Sections 5, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13 of these Terms survive termination of the Agreement.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms, a programme, or your use of this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to make a genuine effort to resolve the dispute amicably through direct communication. Please write to us at [email protected] with a clear description of the issue. We will respond within 10 business days and aim to reach a resolution within 30 days.

Where parties cannot reach agreement through direct communication, either party may refer the matter to a mutually agreed mediator before proceeding to litigation. Consumer protection rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 (Malaysia) are not affected by this clause.

13. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tenang with respect to the subject matter herein, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

Tenang's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without Tenang's prior written consent. Tenang may assign these Terms without restriction.

Notices

Notices from Tenang to you will be sent to the email address you provided at enrolment. Notices from you to Tenang should be sent by email to [email protected].

14. Changes to These Terms

Tenang may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify participants by email.

Your continued use of the website or participation in a programme after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
